Election thoughts
Nov. 4th, 2020 05:25 amWhile anxiety about the election is keeping me up, I felt the need to vent:
One of the many reasons I really, really want to see Trump lose the White House with this election is in the hopes that I'll live to see a movie in which a political leader (obviously Trump, but not by name for obvious legal reasons) makes a deal with The Devil to become POTUS, then God creates a pandemic to punish the corrupt people who used His name to justify putting someone that much more corrupt into office and to push the public to oust him.
And then, in my fantasy, the self-righteous who supported him will wake up and realize that they've been a tool of evil, and maybe will actually think about the merit of multiple political candidates rather than cheering blindly along with their tribe like carnivorous sheep. Oh, and happily relying on allies who: menacingly brandish guns in cities, exhibit very obvious hatefulness, etc.
And that storyline just doesn't work if Trump gets to hold on to his rent-free mansion for another 4-years of vile and pocket-stuffing public disservice.
